Il finale monofonico MC-2301è il finale valvolare più potente mai costruito da
McIntosh.
La circuitazione comprende due grandissime innovazioni che McIntosh ha introdotto nel mondo
dell’HiFi, una “classica” la Unity Coupled che garantisce banda estremamente larga e alta potenza
ed una estremamente recente la Quad Differential capace di eliminare ogni rumore e non linearità
dal segnale audio.
Le valvole utilizzate sono le 12AT7 nella sezione di ingresso e KT88 o 6550 in quella di uscita (4
per ramo).
L’elevata potenza, il basso rumore e la capacità di lavorare a piena potenza anche carici di 2 ohms
rendono questo amplificatore adatto al pilotaggio di qualsiasi diffusore, anche quelli ritenuti
“missione impossibile” per un valvolare.
